mul-ti-fung-si motorclub

The mul-ti-fung-si motorclub started during our time in Indonesia (Java+Lombok), to connect to motorbikes and (new) friends. We had motorclub meetings at MES56 in Yogyakarta and in Majalenka (Saung Eurih / baca saja bersama). To join the motorclub all you have to do is put a sticker on your bike and honk when you see a fellow club member.  Within the club meetings we shared stories about our motorbike, and how we can use it to publish in public. After the meetings we made a friendship book to collect more members, which are spread over Java and Lombok. During the meetings we served 'petralite', a special drink to fuel members.

potatopress

A newspaper made with many and part of the PPP exhibition curated by Sunflowersoup in W139. Potatopppress opened the doors of its editorial room on 29 May 2026 to all curious, wandering, and ambitiious potatojournalists to contribute to this newspaper. In the editorial room we explored the politics of the potato using different perspectives, personal knowledge, field research, the internet, and (reliable) sources. We also deep dived into the 'frituur cultuur' (frying culture) of NL. It resulted in this newspaper, 3 A3's riso printed and folded into a publication spread in local snackbars of all participants and W139.

fries forever

a workshop in which we made ceramic fries in snackbar Frieda*. During the claying we spoke about ownership of (public) space, reclaiming (public) space and creating new space to meet. Parts of these conversations were written in the fresh clayed fries with vermicelli letters, leaving an imprint behind after burning the clay pieces. With the burned and glazed fries we made a public fry-route, super glueing the fries in public space around Frieda reclaiming a bit of public space.

*snackbar Frieda is a snackbar in a squat were you can snack on donation. They serve fries made from potatoes gathered after the harvest from the fields. Besides they host a cultural program.

For underdeveloped #4 we build copyshopy: an analogue printing floor engraved with c&c printer and lasercutter, which can be used to make posters by rubbing the paper with pencils and two workshops in which we shared tools to make big posters with an A4 printer to publish in public.

For underdeveloped #2 at Garage Rotterdam we screenprinted conversations about the role of the host within artistic practices and what collective working can mean on yellow discloths. To present work inbetween, on an unexpected place, that you come accross while hosting: cleaning the toilet, whiping the table, removing a stain, etc. Besides, we hosted ev-ri-dee tee-vee; a video platform disguised as a television channel broadcasting episodes directly to Garage's kitchen questioning our daily rituals, struggles and philosophies around food and cleaning. With videos from us and our friends, and a tee-vee-gids printed at Varia.

underdeveloped #1

klei kunst zoektocht

We went into the Tarwewijk in Rotterdam with a mobile clay studio and invited passers by to clay something for the neighbourhood. After firing and glazing we made a public sculpture route with all the objects by superglueing them in the neighbourhood. We then made a small publication with a map, to find all the sculptures and some info about the situationists and the dérive,

wasserette de printer

We created an interactive dynamic meeting place as part of underdeveloped #1 at Garage Rotterdam, which evolved with every interaction by working on the growing ceramic tablewear by making objects from clay. In the clay objects we wrote with vermicelli letters words or sentences from the exhibition, to creat a continuous dialogue. The clay pieces were fired and glazed over the course of the exhibition, ready to be used. At the end of the exhibition everyone could pick up what they made to take home. Besides we hosted several events and workshops.

Wasserette de Printer transformed SIGN into a free laundrette with a fluctuating setting for a month. With our own publications on the reading table, dynamic installations and workshops, we created a temporary platform for everyone with and without a washing machine to come and do their laundry with us for free, but with the risk of getting it back with a screenprint. Through local wifi-infrastructure, ironing meditations, an eco-laundry programme and interactive furnishing the waiting time became a full on experience. The laundromat was also a platform for other things to take place; we hosted a performance night, reading club, eclectic networking night, and laundry related workshops. This project was initiated by Laureen Langkamp, Jorien Ketelaar and Floor van Meeuwen. Groningen, June-July 2023. Supported by Kunstraad Groningen and SIGN. >>click here for the website<<

rice zine

During Underdeveloped #1 we collected contributions of visitors and friends about rice, which we combined in a zine. We also made a collective typography at the exhibition from rice.

What deserves attention in Cool Zuid? What’s important, newsworthy, urgent or terribly normal? In this workshop, we worked towards creating an alternative neighbourhood newspaper, made up of contributions from participants. We went out into the neighbourhood and collect good (or boring) stories, (absurd) images, (meaningless) advertisements, (non-)rhyming poetry and (legendary) photos to create a polyphonic newspaper together.

The newspaper was printed that same weekend and distributed in the neighbourhood and all Engage locations on Saturday 11 October. In this way, the workshop itself becomes part of the local news and published the collective voice in public space.
